Marshall Fire Updates
Our hearts are with our neighbors and responders to the Marshall Fire. The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is accepting evacuated companion animals in need of boarding and providing pet food and supplies (including free pet ID tags) to those in need.
Thanks to our extremely generous community, we have all the volunteers, foster homes, and pet food and supplies we need at this time. If you wish to help, please make an Emergency Safety Net gift to support the animals in our care and those who rely on us in the future.
To stay up-to-date on the newest information regarding the wildfires and evacuation orders, please check the Boulder Office of Emergency Management website, and follow their pages on Facebook and Twitter.
If you or someone you know needs help with their companion animals:
Please come to our facility at:

Or contact us at:

We will care for any evacuated companion animals in need of shelter. Free pet food and supplies are available for families in need. Additionally, we will not charge a fee for disaster or emergency boarding, and will not charge a reclaim fee for pets found in the impacted areas.*
Many of you have asked how you can aid our impacted neighbors. Thank you!
It is because of friends like you that HSBV is ready to support our community and act — at a moment’s notice — as a safety-net for animals in need. The greatest way to help is to make a donation that can be used where funds are needed most during times of disaster. Please consider making a donation to our Emergency Safety Net Fund:
Your gift will ensure HSBV can provide emergency boarding, free pet food and supplies, and veterinary care for impacted community members, and thousands of other families facing crisis, while also continuing to care for shelter pets.
We also encourage you to consider a donation to these organizations, who are also working hard to support those affected by the fires:
* At this time, we are not in need of volunteer assistance providing animal care, or foster home placement and are not in need of supplies. Due to rapidly shifting needs, your monetary gifts best enable HSBV to quickly adapt services and programs to provide temporary boarding, lost & found services, veterinary care and pet care supplies. Thank you for your support!
