Jessica grew up in Littleton, Colorado and after a long time living elsewhere, is happy to be back in her home state. She has fond memories of training her childhood dog, but only started thinking about dog training as a career when she began volunteering as a dog walker at a shelter. Many books and courses later, she got a job with the Behavior and Training team at a California shelter. She became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) in 2017. Jessica is also a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT) and a Fear Free Certified Trainer.
When she moved to Boulder in 2021, Jessica joined the Behavior and Training team at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. She loves guiding and supporting pet guardians through tough challenges and helping both them and their pets live happily together. She lives in Boulder with her husband, a chihuahua, and a very opinionated rabbit.
