Mary began as a volunteer at HSBV in 2001. While serving in many roles, she has spent the last several years dedicated to working with animals through the Training and Behavior Center. She has enjoyed dog training since she was given her first dog for her ninth birthday. The advent of positive training methods provided the connection she always felt was missing from her previous dog training experience and she has incorporated that positive spin into all aspects of her life. The pleasure she has found in training her own dogs, as well as shelter dogs, competing in agility, training service dogs, and working with the Training and Behavior team at HSBV has inspired her to formalize her education.
